    Matt is currently Business Analytics and Insights Director for Emerging Markets Oncology providing market analysis solutions for in-line and pipeline products. He joined Pfizer in 1999 and worked previously as Emerging Markets Commercial lead for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension products and Emerging Market Business Operations Director. He also had roles in Portfolio and Decision Analysis and Research and Development Finance. Before joining Pfizer, Matt worked as a laboratory researcher at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center studying virology-based gene therapy for cancer and the pathology of infectious diseases.
    In India, CARE leads community-based efforts to improve nutrition and maternal health. In 2013, Matthew will work as a national resource person supporting CARE India in developing strategy, specifically health systems management, finalizing a business plan for the national organization, developing institutional mechanisms for knowledge management, capturing field learning and developing knowledge management products for advocacy and organizational learning.
    Matt has participated in numerous volunteer projects, including teaching a series of Economics classes at an inner-city high school, doing construction work at camps for the disadvantaged, fund-raising for various charities, and editing business plans for not-for-profit start-up organizations. He has recently undergone training to serve as a volunteer board member for New York City-based non-profit organizations.
    Following his GHF experience in New Delhi, Matt hopes to better understand the challenges facing patients in India. He also hopes to gain a better overall understanding of customers and stakeholders in Emerging Markets, sharpening his ability to develop more effective Pfizer business strategies.
